I began dancing Modern Jive in 1996 and don't think I'll ever get tired of it. It is such a sociable dance - through it I have made many great friends around the UK and overseas. As well as Modern Jive, I've taken classes in and drawn inspiration from other styles of dancing, including Ballroom and Latin, Argentinian Tango, Egyptian, Scottish Country Dance, Salsa and Flamenco. For me, music can be so inspirational and challenging. My musical tastes are fairly eclectic - I'll try to dance to anything! -but most of all I love the sumptuous latin sounds of Pink Martini, and the drama of nu-tango.
