Bob got into Modern Jive DJ work, based with the lovely Sarah, helping to run a new venue in Seaford, and also an established venue in Bexhill, Sussex. As he already had lots of equipment from regular DJ work the arrangement worked well.
Bob was also assisting a new club in Uckfield, called the First Move , run by Darren & Clair. Now after 14 months he only DJs for the First Move each week on thursday nights, as the venue is probable the best in East Sussex, with high numbers of dancers packing in each week, onto a great dance floor, Bob provides a good mixture of music to keep them busy.
Bob recently DJ’d in Italy for a Modern Jive group from across the U.K, run by Ski & Rock dance action holidays, 20 -27th March, which was a great success. In 2004 he had the pleasure to DJ at the Southport & Camber jive weekend breaks, also providing the disco equipment, & DJ at the UK dance championships in Brighton called Britroc 2004. Outside Modern Jive Bob enjoys working as a DJ/ Sound Engineer/Roady with some great clients at top venues. Ranging from Radio Station outside events, with thousands of people in the crowd, to the odd pop concert and of course great weddings , diner dances, and Christmas party nights. Bob’s disco rig can be scaled to suite a venue, but can be a full truss rig with about 20 lights on it & 5 metres square, along with a large screen for pictures/video of clients enjoying their night out, please see Bob’s website to see what he can offer! His music comes on a computer database with around 70,000 tracks available at every gig, for fast music requests, along with manual CD's when required..
