Discover new music with Amante Ballo playlists
Amante Ballo Playists are
where you can discover a world of new music. Playlists are contributed by DJ’s, teachers and dancers from around the partner
dance scene who want to share their favourite tracks for dancing. They contain a wealth of dance music, bridging the spectrum of music genres
and spanning the decades. Here you will find classic tracks and new tunes to inspire your dancing.
Amante Ballo Playlists
DJ's:
- Dan 'The Man' Hudson, regular DJ at Ceroc Greenwich and
at Jivetime's Camber weekends, and according to the ladies, looks mighty fine in a uniform!
- DJ Bob Ball, resident DJ at the First Move in Uckfield. DJ/ Sound Engineer/Rode.
- DJ Kenobe, the master of eclectic phat sounds,
resident DJ at Jango, the T-Jive and Twyford Freestyle with 'The Kenobe Dance Experience'.
- Greg Davidson, a leading West Coast Swing
DJ, dishes up playlist inspired by his love of Blues, R'n'B, Smooth Swing and West Coast Swing.
- John Porterfield AKA Dance Demon, creator and
co-operator of Route 66 in Edinburgh, and resident DJ for Ceroc Stirling. DD has a reputation for playing smooth swing, latin
and blues dance music but has a big passion for 1950s RnB and Doo Wop.
- Peter Phillips DJ, well known and respected
for his awesome music across the UK modern jive circuit, also reknowned for his massive sound and light systems.
- Sheena, The Mighty Tiggerbabe,
a fan of music in all shapes and sizes - from high energy to laid back bluesy via the old favourites, the cheese, the R&B
and (of course) rock.
Teachers:
- David Barker, West Coast Swing super
star and international Showcase champion
- John Sweeney, Double
Trouble Legend and Metagrobologist.
- Will Hargreaves, Freestyle Champion, Showcase supremo and all round
Man City supporter.
Dancers:
- Divissima, fab dancer, competitor, and Kenobe groupie.
- Neil Merryweather, a connoisseur of latin
and modern jive dance music, serves up a luscious playlist.
- Rockin' Ray Godman, Freestyle champion, with a fabulous Rock'n'Roll
and Blues playlist.
